Lady Gaga's "Normal" Performance

The moment I heard Lady Gaga would be performing at the 2015 Oscars I wondered what she would do different this time? Personally, I believe she is the ultimate chameleon and can do no wrong. I attended her last two concerts and must say I was not disappointed with her show. Honestly, her performances tend to bring a tear to my eyes because they are so powerful, raw and real. She really doesn't hold back and her true love for what she does shines through. Her Oscars performance was no different. The glittery white gown and perfectly prim hair was surprising but in a good way. In a way that made me think "Yesssss" she doesn't give a fuck what people think you know? She can be strange and weird or she can be normal and beautiful without stripping away herself.  This performance is just a different side of Gaga that we are not familiar with. When people say "OMG, Gaga can actually sing?" I'm like, really? You're surprised? She just happens to be a great singer and an amazing piano player. More than can be said about other pop stars who can't even sing. Anyways, I'm not trying to bash any other celebrities I just want to make a point that Lady Gaga is a great performer who deserves more credit that she is given. Long live Mother Monster.

Current Obsession: Aye Nako

Straight out of Brooklyn, self proclaimed "homo-pop" and "queercore" group, Aye Nako, is far from "pop". Instead, they sound more like a fuzzy, DIY, punk rock dream belching out catchy, slightly out of tune, lyrics like "and my heart on the blues or am I really that confused?"
I was initially listening to P.S. Elliot radio on Spotify when I clicked the next song and was  instantly hooked on this group. The song, only 57 seconds, was "Bent Out of Shape," a hard-hitting punk rock intro with fast upbeats and a refreshingly powerful female voice.
The song is featured on the album "Are You With the Band?" a collection of female fronted pop-punk bands.
The entire album is gold, featuring some really great bands like Sourpatch, The Homewreckers and Cheeky

Tough Girls Have Feelings Too

I've never been the type of girl who expressed her feeling very well. Instead, i'm the type of girl who bottles up her emotions until she explodes, alone in the privacy of her own room where the only thing around to comfort her are the pillows that absorb every tear without judgment. Also, I'm the type of girl who puts up a front. On the outside I'm careless but inside my head are countless thoughts of worry and uncertainty. I've never been the type of girl to have a crush either. I lose interest very quickly, one false move from the opposite sex and my mind wanders elsewhere.
But this time, everything is different. This boy is something else. I kind of hate him because he's a jerk. But the more he pushes me away the more I adore him. Every second of my time is spent wondering what he's doing. What is he wearing? What is he eating? When is he going to text me?? Quite frankly, its an obsession.
I really shouldn't like him so much. He's the boy my mother told always told me not to talk to.
It drives me insane just thinking about him. Our relationship is complicated because we really have no relationship. We are not really friends? We are not really dating? We don't see each other very often and the majority of our communication is through text messages or social media. Not to mention we met through a dating app. Although in my mind I know this is going nowhere, I can't help but continue.
